[mythtv-users] using hauppauge pvr-x50 + pcHDTV3000

I was having the same trouble.  I am doing this by memory so bare with me.
1 run mythtvsetup
2  Verify your capture card is setup.
3 Verify your video source for hdtv is configured.
4 Then goto input connections assign the appropriate video source.
5 Fetch channels this may take a while so get a soda or something.
6 Scan for channels do a full scan Freq= Bcast ATSC = Terrestrial 8-VSP
