I also now tried this solution and it works even better than the 
tv_grab_dvb solution since the tv_grab_dvb solution made every channel 
appear twice in my channel list and if no epg data was available for a 
few channel mythtv refused to record this channel if you accidentally 
choose the channel tv_gtab_dvb put into the channel list.
