[mythtv-users] livetv freeze after one sec; recording doesn't change channels

Recently, my capture card appeared to stop working: cat /dev/video >
file.mpg wouldn't produce anything but a zero byte file. I fixed
that with an ivtv upgrade and a COLD boot.

Now, I'm struggling with myth. Live tv freezes after about one
second of play, then either goes back to the menu or crashes
mythfrontend all together. This is the error:

2006-04-09 14:41:59.311 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
2006-04-09 14:41:59.453 Video timing method: SGI OpenGL

2006-04-09 14:42:19.316 WriteStringList: Bad socket

Remote encoder not responding.
ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/qt/3/include/qvaluelist.h (373)

Finally, it appears as though recording is working, however, the
channel is not changed. E.g., my tuner is now set to channel 22,
but if I try to record 35, I only get 22. I have a hunch these two
problems are related.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks,
Matt
