That page (which is a great resource for new users) does not exactly set 
out the steps required to get things working. With version .19, the 
channel scan is supposed to work, but that depends upon having a good 
channels.conf. And my experience is that the necessary steps are quirky.

An understanding of the 'hands-on' method helps to debug the automated 
method.

I'm about to post some changes to the wiki but we also need a better 
HOW-TO seminar on this.
