[mythtv-users] Livetv not changing channels on remote frontends

I recently upgraded from 0.16 -> 0.18 via upgrading knoppmyth from R4V4 to
R5A15.1. Everything seemed to go fine, except for one thing.

>From any of my remote frontends, I can watch recordings or livetv, but when
I try to change channels in livetv, the audio / video hangs, and the OSD
never shows the new channel.

While the video / audio is frozen, I can see the ringbuffer increasing in
size, and when I hit escape twice, it gets deleted. (so I din't think it's a
permissions issue with the livetv buffer).

I can get back to the myth ui, so it's not technically locked up. If I go
back into livetv, I see that the channel actually did change. When watching
livetv, I can change cards via 'Y' just fine.

Recording works fine, changes channels on all three souces (1x pvr-250 via
s-video to a digital cable box, 1x pvr-250 via s-video to a FTA receiver, 1x
pvr-250 via tuner to analog cable.)

Changing channels works fine via the frontend running on the backend, so I'm
not sure what's up. I've answered 'yes' to both questions during
mythtv-setup and started from scratch. I've changed my theme / OSD theme to
match the backend's frontend settings. No joy.
