This is a limit in Apache2. I looked into it some months ago, and I 
think there is a patch for it, but couldn't find the time to try to sort 
it all out. I am suprised there is not a newer version around with 
support for it!

Of course to be very useful you would need to setup .nuv streaming as well.

I use Debian Sarge.
