doesn't surprise me ... compaqs are not good machines ... ever since 
Packard Bell dropped out of the race, compaq seemed to do a good job of 
being the most despised computer in the geek circles i hand out in (been 
in the industry for 10-15 yrs now) ... i have been impressed with many 
dells, but for my myth box, i have a mix of an orig dell and other 
upgrades i've purchased ... good balance b/n cost and quality...
