Not sure if this helps - but when I got that kind of message (although
your log output looks a lot different to mine) it turned out that the
persmissions for the cache and the data directory were wrong.
Strangely I could record things and then watch them, but I couldn't
watch live tv.

If you find you can record things (e.g. set a manual record) and then
in the front end try watching what is recording, then I would say its
a permission problem. Your log does talk about a missing directory -
which is possibly the cause as well (check you have the data and cache
directories created, or specified correctly in the setup).
