[mythtv-users] Parallel crunching myth install broken

 	Hey all.  I've got an odd problem.  Due to a variety of reasons, 
my mythbox is fairly uncomfortable to use as a regular computer.  I 
usually copy recordings off to a more powerful box at work to do 
transcoding and burning onto DVD.  I use the nuvexport .nuv+.sql option to 
simply remove the file from the database, but it allows me to reinsert it 
back if I want.

 	SO, I figured I'd abort the old way of manually finding 
commercials in avidemux and transcoding from there in lieu of the 
commercial cutting and upcoming MPEG2->MPEG2 in mythtranscode.  I'm having 
a bugger of a time getting nuvexport (specifically mythtranscode) to 
cooperate.  I did a virgin install of the stable SVN (tried the regular 
SVN too).  Make a skeleton database, ran mythv-setup.  When I run 
nuvexport it spews out a bunch of:
Waiting for mythtranscode to set up the fifos.
Waiting for mythtranscode to set up the fifos.
errors.  Running with debug yielded:
forking:
/bin/nice -n19 mythtranscode --showprogress -p autodetect -c 1049 -s 
2005-09-14-19-59-00 -f "/tmp/fifodir_9614/" --honorcutlist 2>&1

... and when I try to run that specifically it just returns without doing 
anything.  Running strace as per

led me to this line:
access("/1049_20050914195900_20050914210000.nuv", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
If I make a symlink to the file in '/', it goes.

 	I think that the database isn't completely set up so he's not 
thinking the files are in '/mnt/store'.  How can I make this skeleton 
system without any capture cards accept recordings from elsewhere?  I'd 
think the stub in the .sql file is enough to insert it... indeed it will 
play them from within mythfrontend.
