Good idea - why didn't I think of it?

Actually I just wondered what happened when their website went down/got 
renmaed etc, but your answer above clarifies that.

I've already experienced NTHells program guide. The one that regularly 
doesn't know whats on :-(

We almost got Sky+ at Xmas '04, but they couldn't do it in a reasonable 
timescale, so never bothered. So I eventually decided a small linux box 
would make a good pvr/webserver/software dev. 
environment/filestore/anything else. But Sky+ would probably be easier 
to install!

Regrettably my employement contract prevents me writing software for 
anyone else. That said, my day job sometimes involves writing gpl'd 
software (I've contributed stuff to the linux kernel in the past), and I 
do work on linux software tools sometimes too.

At the time I started mucking about with it, it didn't have FC4 support. 
Besides, I'm typically used to linux-ware being recommended to compile 
from source...

I will look into it (I'm an embedded software engineer, so I've not much 
prior form with databases...)

I've used the only PCI slot in my Shuttle :-)

One last small question: have you got any suggestions for a small 
wireless keyboard/mouse/touchpad? At the moment I've got the remote 
control working with the PVR-350, but I'm configuring everything else 
with my wireless laptop and ssh/remote X...
