Hi,
After setting up my linux server using Debian as opposed to Fedora (with
the really incredible howto by Jarod), I have some issues concerning
reinstallation and mythtv-addons (i.e. MythWeb, MythVideo, etc).
I have ivtv up and running detecting both my PVRs (250 and 350), now all
I need is Mythtv and its add-ons. I did an "apt-get install mythtv" but
as it only installed MythTv I removed it again ("apt-get remove mythtv")
and deleted the database mythconverg. Now, whenever I reinstall mythtv
using the above apt-get command, everything is installed but the
database is not created. So that brings me to question 1:
1. How do I force apt-get to create the mythconverg database?
When I tried to install MythTv addons I get this error:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mythvideo: Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0.0-7) but 1:3.4.3-13 is to be
installed
Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.0.0-7) but 3.4.3-13 is to be
installed
E: Broken packages
So, question 2:
2. What error is this and how can I resolve it?
I hope to get this thing up and running, otherwise I would have to
reinstall my server with Fedora, which I do not want to do.
greetings and thank you for your time!
juro
