Not only that, it encourages trimming, so that I don't have to read the
same messages over and over again rather than just blindly posting at
the top and leaving everything from the entire previous (and previous to
that and previous to that and so on) message in there unnecessarily.

To stay only slightly OT, Myth recordings take up enough disk space that
I don't need 17 copies of a message in 17 e-mails on my disk too.  :-)
