[mythtv-users] Tuner type of Hauppauge WinTV express

Just for everyones' info...

I spent a lot of time finding out why my Hauppauge WinTV express didn't tune
to many of the channels. The reason is that the tuner type should NOT be
type=3 or type=22 (as reported in some posts found with google) but type=11
(yep, I tried them all...)

Now there may be other card revisions around, but if your card "kinda" works
with type=22 (as mine does) be sure to try out type=11 as it works probably
better.

For completeness sake, here is what lspci says about this card:

00:0a.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture
(rev 11)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV Series
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 7
        Memory at ef000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=4K]
        Capabilities: [44] Vital Product Data
Capabilities: [4c] Power Management version 2

and syslog:

kernel: bttv0: detected: Hauppauge WinTV [card=10], PCI subsystem ID is
0070:13eb
kernel: bttv0: using: BT878(Hauppauge (bt878)) [card=10,autodetected]
