[mythtv-users] performance and missing channels

Do these garbled channels come in OK if you hook the cable directly to
the tv? If so, then it has nothing to do with your digital cable and I
would look into the fine tuning on your tuner card. If they are
garbled on your tele then I doubt any amount of adjustment will bring
them in on your tuner card.
