I am following the instructions outlined on Jarod's site under Section 10. The test capture is coming across fuzzy with several hundred horizontal zig-zag lines.
I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong here.
Here is what I have done in step 10:
Environment:
PVR-250
Linux Fedora Core 2
Nvidia GeForce 4mx
Section 10 steps:
1) I run the following:
# apt-get install ivtv-firmware
# apt-get install kernel-module-ivtv-$MYKERNEL
# apt-get install ivtv
2) Set these 3 lines in the modprobe.conf file
# ivtv modules setup
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
3) Run these two commands:
# /sbin/depmod -a
# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
Check that the card is being properly recognized:
4) # /sbin/lspci -v
RESULTS: (Note: I am using the PVR-250)
02:02.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC16 (CX23416) MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)

5) Run this:
[root at localhost /]# ll /dev/video?
