Well, sure.  You are forgiven.  The gatos sourceforge site explains that
a while back, it became part of the kernel.

What is just baffling to me is that if the ATI Remote Wonder is now a
supported input device, why doesn't something show up on the screen
when a button is pressed, as it does when I hit the 'J' key on the keyboard?

How can I be the only ATI Remote Wonder owner for whom the device
just doesn't work?  It's just maddening to see the sea of success all around
while my MythTV system drowns without remote capability.
