Add them to the video group if that's how your /dev/video* permissions
are setup. Copy over you lircrc file to ~/.mythtv/ and link it to
~/.lircrc for mplayer. I think that's all I did.

It looks like I will have to go your route. I can not figure this one
out. Thanks for the heads up. I am sure I will have to setup auto login
for mythtv2 as well as ensure they have proper rights in the directory
structure. Anything else I need to do for the second user that I am
forgetting?

I had the same thing happen, I searched all the startup files,
even deleted or renamed some of them - nothing worked. Finally I
created a new user, set it up to login as mythtv2, and haven't had the
problem since. Stupid solution, I know, but it was much faster than
figuring out what was actually going on.

I tried a clean reboot (no apps/mythfrontend running before
reboot (i.e. typing reboot in a term window)) and the same thing
happened - Two mythfrontends started. Any other ideas out there?
Thanks,
Mike

All,
Two mythfrontend session start when rebooting or
restarting X. I can not seem to figure out why. Does anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks,
Mike
