[mythtv-users] ivtv firmware 2.02 or 1.9 ?

If I want to uprgade just the firmware, is it as simple as getting the
newest ATRpms, using rpmbuild, and then installing the new RPM?

Do I need to remove the older version as well?

Is there any way to determine what firmware version the system is using?

Thanks,

Ray Gaida

Correct, the firmware and ivtv drivers carry completely different
version numbers. The latest ivtv driver package from ATrpms is 0.1.9,
versioned by the ivtv folks, teh latest firmware is 2.20, versioned by
Conexant (or Hauppauge, I'm not positive).

And the firmware isn't what needs patching to support the M179, it is
the ivtv driver itself. And yes, the latest packages on ATrpms do have
the M179 patch applied. I use them myself with both my M179 cards, no
problem.
