[mythtv-users] "bad ANN query" and other problems plagueing my backend and making it crash

After some digging I found out that that error usually means mismatched 
versions of mythtv. I was sure I had 0.15.1 installed on my backend via 
knoppmyth, but I had 0.15 and my frontend was 0.15.1 so I did a reinstall of 
the backend and it all works now.
