Yes, I'm talking about playing back files from perfect DVD rips.  I 
wasn't aware that the internal player could be called, but after some 
Googling, I found that "mythtv %s" can be used.  I get the same result 
using it...smooth video, but slightly vertically stretched.  BTW, I'm 
seeing the same bad aspect ratio in MythGallery when viewing pictures 
full screen as well.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Any other thoughts?
