[mythtv-users] Samsung SIR-TS360 and Channel Changing

I know this is slightly off topic, but thought I'd see if anyone has had 
any success using any of the channel changing scripts (channel.pl, 
RCA.pl, sony.pl or joypad.pl (http://www.rgbdream.com/software.html)) 
with the Samsung SIR-TS360 satellite box for DirecTV.  This is a HD sat 
box, and is fairly new.

I've had no success and even contacted Samsung.  The first tech told me 
that the RS232 port has not been "enabled by DirecTV" yet...what ever 
that means.  I did eventually get to the engineers and was emailed some 
files that they use to talk to the box.  It's Crestron software 
(http://www.crestron.com/default-no_flash.asp), and for use on a Win 
box.  I tried to snag hex codes of the various commands but was either 
too dumb to see them or they aren't there.

I wanted to poll the list to see if anyone has the RS232 port working on 
this sat box before I go the IR transmitter route.

If anyone wants to have a look at the files, mail me off list and I'll 
shoot them over.
