[mythtv-users] Recordings play back at wrong speed

I have a box with a PVR 250 that seems to record everything too fast.
By that, I mean the untranscoded recordings play at high speed in both
Myth and on Windows Media Player if I copy them to my Windows machine.
It doesn't seem to matter what Encoder I specify in the recording
profiles (currently DVD Special 2 I think), or what audio sample rate I
use. The log indicates the correct fps (29.97) and Audio sample rate
(48kHz) on playback, so I'm completely mystified.
One thing to note - I noticed a couple of people mentioning they set the
audio device to "none" in their capture card settings, but when I do
that it won't stick. It always reverts to the first option in the list
(/dev/dsp). Could this be the problem, and if so, how do I fix it?
Thanks for your help,
Paul
