[mythtv-users] Where to buy parts for homebew IR receiver?

You can still fit the larger voltage regulator (along with the larger
capacitor) inside the dsub hood. Here's my parts list (all from
RadioShack):

IR Receiver IC (276-640)$3.69
4.7 microfarad capacitor (272-1024 or 272-998)$0.99 or $0.99
1N4148 diode (276-1122 10-pack)$1.29
4.7 kOhm resistor (271-1330 5-pack)$0.99
78L05, 100mA, voltage regulator (276-1770)$1.49
9-pin D-sub female connector (276-1538)$1.49
9-pin D-sub metal (276-1508) or metalized (276-1513) hood $2.79 or $2.19

I made my IR transciever with an IR LED from an old remote control.

Matt
