I did notice that before.

So I have to start Live TV, change the permissions of ringbuffer.nuv, and then
toggle back to Live TV?

But once I turn off live TV, the ringbuffer file is deleted.  Is there no way
to permanently change this?  Would running mythbacked as mythtv be a solution?

This is a problem I am having as well. If you check to see what the permissions
are on the ringbuffer, I bet you'll see that it's owned by root. Changing it to
mythtv works for me. Haven't figured this one out. It just changes all by
itself sometimes. Go figure!!!
