[mythtv-users] Myth database issue -- newbie

Hi. I'm new to mythtv and not-so-experienced with linux, so any help would be 
greatly appreciated.

Well, I managed to satisfy all dependencies and install mythtv-suite from 
mandrake 9.2's RPMs. I live in argentina, so when I run mythsetup, I have to 
choose an XMLTV config file. I chose a random one, and said 'no to all' in 
the manual config. 

I have made a frequency table for xawtv and named each channel in .xawtv. But 
when i try to update mythtv's database, I get "0 channels updated". I don't 
know if I've messed up something else, but when I open mythfrontend and go to 
"Watch live TV" i get a blue screen. Btw, everything else works great.
