What version of the nvidia-graphics driver do you have installed? Given that
you were upgrading your system quite a bit, its very possible that you've now
got the 5336 nvidia driver installed, which won't do overscan. Check
rpm -qa nvidia-graphics*
The desired package is nvidia-graphics4363, which is the last rev to actually
have working overscan support.
