I haven't seen the windows drivers but I've read that they do support 
interlaced modes.  I agree that the treatment that Linux gets from nVidia 
is very good - the nVidia cards are probably the best supported cards you 
can get.  It's just a shame that nVidia's drivers seem to have gone 
slightly (not much though) down hill with recent versions and development 
seems to have slowed.

Although this doesn't change my belief that drivers are there to support 
the hardware, and since I've bought the hardware I should have the right 
to use it as I like (which would involve me seeing the technical 
documentation for the hardware and the source for the existing drivers).  
I wish hardware manufacturers would stop being so damned paranoid that 
someone might steal their code and get back to selling hardware rather 
than drivers...
