Hi All -

I have been at this several weeks now and am running out of ideas.

I am trying to get any version of the ivtv drivers to load, and am getting
an error : Kernel: Error -16 getting firmware version. I can see the board
through lspci -
______

0000:00:0a.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15
MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV PVR-350
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 17
Memory at dc000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
_______

However after a load bttv -> (from syslog)

Dec 27 16:54:33 localhost kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00
Dec 27 16:54:33 localhost kernel: bttv: driver version 0.9.15 loaded
Dec 27 16:54:33 localhost kernel: bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520
pages) each for capture

then when i modprobe ivtv .. the system will hang after returning an error:
Kernel: Error -16 Error getting encoder firmware version

It gets through the loads and then hangs forever .. here is the syslog:

Seems like I am missing something basic... but have no clue what it might
be... I have recompiled the kernel - 2.6.7 - several times from scratch but
to no avail.

Any ideas are more than welcome.
