[mythtv-users] Adding a second IR controlled Dish Receiver

I am going to be adding a 2nd Sat box this weekend. I hadn't thought
about needing to alter my channel changing script, so thanks for
posting that info.

I actually had planned to do it this way (and I kinda suspect it would
work better than the channel changing script). I was going to capture
the keypresses using raw mode. That way, my single remote name
'hughes' would contain all the codes for both recievers. At least in
my head this seems like it would work, so I though I would share the
idea (although I havent actually tried it).

I have tried (and have been VERY sucessfully using) raw codes to
control my 1st Sat box for years. I originally had to capture the raw
code because my reciever wouldnt find the gap length of the hughes
remote if its life depended on it. I have never had a problem with
the transmitted IR signal not being recieved.

comments welcome
