It all depends on your application Doug.  You didn't
say, but are you planning to record and playback HDTV
on this box?  If so, go Intel.  There are a variety of
reasons why it is preferred over the Athlon/A64 for
HDTV use, but mostly the guys writing the code use
Intel so it always works first and best on that
platform.  (And I'm normally a card-carrying Athlon
bigot.  I have eight computers at home and only one
Intel -- running KnoppMyth.)
