Hi Robin,

I've been having a similar lack of success.  I was able to track down
one cause of the compile problems to this change:

It looks like "I2C_ADAP_CLASS_TV_ANALOG" has been renamed "I2C_CLASS_TV_ANALOG".

Until the ivtv stuff starts using request_firmware() instead of
depricated sys_* functions, I suspect we'll continue seeing problems. 
Alas, I don't know enough about it to fix it myself... yet... ;-)
