[mythtv-users] PVR-250 and Fedora Core 2

Hi,

I am having a hell of a time getting FC2 working with the PVR-250. I am 
running kernel 2.6.7-1.456_4.

I have installed the ivtv-firmware-2.02.023-3.at.i386.rpm , but can't get 
the kernel-module to install cleanly. It generates the following error:
WARNING:

needs unknown symbol sys_close
WARNING:

/lib/modules/2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at/updates/sound/isa/wavefront/snd-wavefront.ko 
needs unknown symbol sys_open

I have tried the ck99e, ck100m and ck104f drivers with the same results.

I have done some hunting and realise that these calls are now deprecated, 
hence the warning. But I want a clean install and am unable to fix it.

I found this thread: http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31509 but 
the instructions say to edit a file called ivtv-firmware.c, but I can't find 
this file in the ivtv source (see above post for more info). I can't even 
get the source to "make" with out failing (even without editing it).

I have been messing around for over a week on this and really want to get 
MythTV up and running. I am close to going back to FC1 and starting over, 
but I'd really like it to run on FC2. Has anyone had success getting it 
going on FC2? If so, can you provide newbie level instructions on what I 
need to do to make this work.
