[mythtv-users] cannot view recordings

Does it really say that or is it something like, "There are no recording 
in the current recording group?"  Try hitting M and selecting "All 
Programs."  See http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-11.html#ss11.1 
in the section "Recording Groups."
