I suppose you can do an manual install to the drive as auto install only 
works on hda.  I cannot think of any USB tuner that is supported by 
Linux.  If there is one that is supported w/o jumping thru hoops then 
most likely it will work as the bttv 9.15, saa7134 and cx88 support are 
included.
