Just to be clear, one card can record one thing at a time.
You can hook up more then one input and myth's scheduler
knows that it could record from either input but it can
only record from one of the inputs at a time. If there are
shows on both inputs, priorities usually determine which one
one will record but there are additional smart to do the best
job of getting the most shows possible if either of them have
another showing of the same episode...

For that card? Correct. It can still record the basic show
on the Tuner0 of the other card.
There is also an option in Setup->TV Settings->Recording
Priorities->General called "Reschedule Higher Priorities" that
you probably want to use. Say you have basic and digital on
card 1 and basic only on card 2. What if you have a basic show
with a priority of 6 and a digital show with priority 3? The
scheduler would normally give the higher priority to the show
with 6 and the digital show can't record on the second card so
it's SOL. This option says it's okay to move a higher priority
show as long as it still gets recorded and allows something
else to record. With this checked, the digital shows with 3 would
get the S-Video card 1 and the basic show with 6 would get moved
to card 2. Both record, nobody gets hurt =).
Another thing you might want to consider if you are concerned
about load balancing is that you may want to make the card with
basic only card 1 and the card with basic and digital number 2.
This way the first digital show will alway go to card 2 and the
first basic show will record on 1. Basic on card 2 would only be
used when there are two basic shows and there is no digital show
or the second basic show is higher priority than a digital show.
