Hi all!
I've been lurking here for some time, and have at-last got past the initial
few hurdles, and can view/record live TV etc. with MythTV-0.11 !
Kudos to all developers for their efforts. Here are my comments on the product
as I find it so far... I hope this is useful:
1) I have a problem with a bit of picture wobble (up and down by a few pixels)
- This might be the ivtv driver (on my PVR-250 using a PAL tuner input) but
any suggestions are welcome. I have tried all of the deinterlacing options
available.
2) There is probably a very good reason, but I am curious as to why when
changing channels (on the same source) we disconnect and reconnect the backend
decoder. Would it not be possible to get a cleaner change by just requesting
the channel change, and display the changeover as part of the same stream?
3) I managed to start an instant record while watching TV using the 'R'
button. And this led me to 2 thoughts... I don't know how I did this, so
perhaps a new OSD alert to say "Instant record started" would be good. To go
with this, perhaps the ability to cancel a recording while watching it would
be good. The new on-screen menus I've seen mention of on this list might be
useful to achieve this?
Kind regards,
Steve
