Yeah, you can watch live TV.   It is "recording" the show in that it's
buffering it to the disc, but you don't have to schedule a recording or
delete it when you're done or anything like that.

Either 2 capture cards with a coax splitter and/or amplifier, or just
select a different input on your TV.  For example, your MythTV machine is
going to be connected to one of the line-in connections on your TV.    Just
use the TV's internal tuner if you want to watch something while the MythTV
machine is recording something else.   (Kinda like what you'd do with a VCR)
