[mythtv-users] Error when compiling ITVTV driver

Are you sure you have the hauppauge firmware in place? Axel had to pull 
it from the rpms, and it doesn't get installed when you do a source 
install, so you have to manually fetch the Windows drivers and extract 
the firmware from them (ivtv includes a script to do this).

It isn't the .src.rpm you need, it is the 
kernel-source-2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at.i386.rpm file that you need to 
install.

Nope, I don't think you have the right kernel source in place, which 
would also prevent the VMware drivers from building. They need the 
kernel source also.

Download and install kernel-source-2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at.i386.rpm, and 
then "cp /usr/src/linux-2.4/configs/kernel-2.4.20-athlon.config 
/usr/src/linux-2.4/.config".

No make dep, make install, etc., required.

Oh, and a new guide addressing some of these issues is now posted.
