[mythtv-users] Live TV audio sounds horrible,
but the line-insounds ok?

I think i had the same problem. I stopped using myth for a while
because of it. Anyway, i redid my setup (reinstalled gentoo and
everything) and the problem went away. Is your sound also coming out of
only 1 channel? Its been a while, but I think that when i ran aplay
/dev/dsp, it showed it as being 8bit audio or something to that effect.
anyway, try wiping and reinstalling everything related to audio. That
may help your problem. As i said, i just redid my entire machine (using
the same hardware) and it solved the issue for me.
