[mythtv-users] mythtv + xboxfb + xv

I am still tuning myth-frontend for my xbox and I have hit an interesting
problem.

case 1) When running mythtv on xbox-linux whith no tweaks the overscan is
not correct. There are black borders around the picture. The video
        playback is smooth.

case 2) When I use xbv to correct the overscan xv appears to be single
buffering. The video is definately dropping frames. This occurs
with mythtv and mplayer (using the -vo xv option)

case 3) I recompiled 2.4.22 with the new xboxfb support and the overscan
is correct, but the frame-dropping jerkyness is only present when
I use mythtv. Mplayer plays divx/vcd/avi/mpeg/other as smooth as
in "case 1", if not smoother when using -vo xv.

Can anyone shed any light on why there might be a difference between myth and
mplayer in this example?

As always, my thanks.
