sorry, should have been more specific...
my TV capture card is a hauppage pvr-250. for some programs, i.e. sponge
bob, i would like to transcode the captured mpeg2 to an mpeg4 to save space.
i _could_ turn down the capture bandwitdth and use a low setting, but a real
low bandwidth mpeg2 is pretty bad, were a low bandwidth mpeg4 is not too
bad. OTOH, with the record, watch once and delete files i would capture to
a hi-quality mpeg2 and not bother with transcoding.
the way it is now, i think, the only automatic transcoding option is a
global one, right?
