Hmm, well how old is your card?  The revision 1.2/1.3 cards were quite old, so I'm not sure what a 1.0 card would even be?

Best to ask on the linuxtv list since they are the guys writing the drivers, however, the budget cards do seem to have different version numbers, the revisions that you are looking at are primarily wrt the full featured card.  Budget cards seem to have widely varying specs, and Hauppauge for example are rapidly changing chipsets every few months.  Check with the linuxtv list and give them the chip numbers on the tuner, etc for positive identification.
