Yes, I have a nforce2 asus a7n8x-vm mobo that works just fine as a
frontend/backend. Onboard sound and video. I'm using the analog sound
output with the ALSA 0.9.2 snd-intel8x0 module on Gentoo.
I get a little flicker now and then when watching Myth but no lock-ups.
Other than the form factor I have no idea what other differences there
might be between a deluxe and the vm.
I have two pvr-250s, BTW.
