This is a very interesting idea.  I had wondered whether extending Mythweb to also control a front end would be useful.  This way you could use a PDA to be a rather flash remote control by having a cut down theme which displayed fairly well.

See www.giantdisc.com for a proper PDA powered music player.  There seems to be significant effort involved in writing a proper palm remote control app though.  The web version would be significantly simpler I think
