[mythtv-users] Upgrading to .12 RPMS

Hello All,
I've been lurking watching all the traffic on the .12 RPMS. I'm running
some early post .11 CVS code that was mostly stable until
recently... suddenly I've lost all my cut lists and my seeking is taking
forever... as well I have the occasional front end crash or back end
crash. I'm thinking its about time I did a bare metal reinstall and I
wanted to ask a few questions:
1) Are the .12 RPMS and all the associated bits (IVTV driver/NVidia
GeForce2 MX in my case) ready for prime time and appropriate for low to
moderate experienced users? Likewise is Jarods master stroke of
documentation synched up for us so-so linux guys and .12 at this point? :)
2) Can I really just keep my 160GB HD that is my /tv FS with all the
recordings and somehow "re-insert" them in to the DB with that perl script
from the contrib directory? Is all the show info encapsulated in the
filenames?
3) Is the full Visor skin with the Visor OSD included in the .12 RPMS?
All assistance appreciated.
-Jeff
