I want to be able to watch videos from the home lan when i am on the
road. I have vpn so I am the only one with access to the home
network. My laptop has a 56 k modem dial up connection when I am on the
road. My home lan is connected to a cable modem. Is there a way that I
can easily convert a nuv file to something that will stream to a 56 k
connection. What do you guys recommend as far as software for the
video streaming (video on demand)?
I am looking for a linux solution to stream the video. The client can
have linux or windows.
If a 56 K connection will not cut it, Is there a way that I can quickly
convert a 1 gig nuv file to something around 100 meg at 320x240. I have
used nuvexport. It will convert a nuv file to vcd and then I can use
windows media encoder to shrink it down to 100 meg. I was wondering if
there is a one step solution in linux to do this. This way I can bring
the videos with me.
Thanks for any info you can give
