Hello All,

I've been away for a few weeks and recently updated to the latest Myth CVS
- wonderful to have all the new features and the new release, coupled with
the latest IVTV driver build has meant rock solid recording and use of the
system. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Now if I can just fix my
focus issue with MythVideo without changing windows managers, I'll be a
happy guy.

Being away for the last six weeks I relied heavily on my Archos 20Gig MP3
handheld jukebox, primarily for music. It has a colour LCD screen and can
play back MPEG4 files but its really not practical given its small size. I
travel a lot and am seriously considering upgrading to their newest
handheld, which has a larger screen and is optimized for video. What I was
wondering is if anyone else who is using Myth is also using the Archos
AV300 series handheld. A review of it is here:

I am very interested in finding some command line apps that would allow me
to convert my PVR 250/Myth MPEG2 files to MPEG4 files that I could transfer
to, and watch on, the handheld. If I can automate this on the command
line, or even in a graphical interface, I would be able to take the latest
shows and movies from Myth with me on the road. It would really make those
long airplane flights more bearable.

If anyone has any experience or thoughts on how to do this, I'd welcome the
info. Thanks.

-Jeff
