I am in the early stages of working on this. You could make MythThemedDialog
grab MousePressEvent's (which is what X would give you from Touchscreen
presses), have it calculate which UIType is "on top", and activate it. I had
that sort of working at one point, but it was more a hack than a proper
implementation.
The thing I'm currently working on is a socket based text interface to
mythfrontend that can make the front end do simple things (e.g.
"play track 7" or "tune to channel 4"). Then you just need a very simple
lightweight "traditional" Qt application that will show buttons to a user
(and would work with a touchscreen) which then translates keypresses into
that socket contol language. The intention is to allow something like a
Zaurus, Tablet PC, etc. to act as network-wide remote control. Tap tap, tv in
living room changes to CNN, tap tap, bookshelf stereo starts playing CD.
Hoping to have some code up related to this in the next few days.
