The ivtv drivers only support the encoding part at this time, so it 
would be of no benefit (yet) to get the 350. If decoding is added in 
the future, then yes... But then a processor that is plenty fast is 
pretty cheap these days...

I can't say conclusively, since I've never used a 350, but in theory, 
yes, the steps should be more or less the same.

No.

Neither have I... It is possible to add buttons to MythTV for calling 
additional apps, but I don't know of an additional app you could call 
that would be able to do anything with the tuner.
