HI,
I'm interested in building a PVR for my living room and have been
looking at EPIA mini units, not wanting to spash out on the hardware
until I was sure that the technology worked I bought a cheapo ebay
PVR-250 and stuck it in my home machine. Its taken a few days of
tweaking but I finaly succeeded yestoday (Full IR control, etc.). I
even gave a demo to the other half yestoday and the freeze/reply live TV
feature was most impressive I think I may have to give my living room
spec box some more thought.
Firstly does anyone have and advice/leserns learned from seting up an
EPIA mini system?
Secondly (problably due to me playing with the decoder/transcoder
setting yestoday) my live-tv playback is color distorted (missing red
and thus flesh tones) not that watching tv which everyone looks like
they are dying from frost bite isn't entertaining but does anyone know
what I've done?. Oddly the effect appears to be the same when playing
back from mplayer (I never got xawtv to work) which makes me think its
my aerial lead.
Thanks in advance
Simon
